The Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing
The Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing are a set of guidelines developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ), the Open Access Scholarly Publishers Association (OASPA), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME). These guidelines aim to promote transparency, integrity, and ethical publishing practices in scholarly publishing. The Shodh Niranjana journal is committed to upholding these principles and expects all authors, editors, and reviewers to adhere to them. The following are the guidelines that we expect to be followed in the journal:
Peer Review: The journal follows a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality of the articles published. All manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers with relevant expertise.
Authorship: The journal adheres to the criteria for authorship as outlined by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE). All authors must have contributed significantly to the research and agree to the submission of the manuscript.
Originality: All submitted manuscripts must be original and not under consideration or published elsewhere. Any prior work or words of others must be appropriately cited and referenced.
Conflict of Interest: All authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that may affect the integrity of the research or publication process.
Data and Reproducibility: All data must be presented clearly and accurately, and raw data must be made available upon request (if available). The journal encourages authors to provide sufficient information and details to allow for reproducibility of the research.
Ethics: The journal expects all research involving human or animal subjects to be conducted ethically and in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations. Authors must obtain ethical approval and informed consent where applicable.
Corrections and Retractions: The journal will publish corrections, retractions, and clarifications as required to correct errors or inaccuracies in published articles or address any ethical concerns.
Open Access: The journal is committed to open access publishing, and all articles will be made freely available to readers without any subscription fees or other access barriers.
Copyright: The journal follows a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which allows others to distribute, remix, and build upon the work, even commercially, as long as they credit the original creation.
Editorial Independence: The journal ensures editorial independence and avoids any conflicts of interest in editorial decisions.
The Shodh Niranjana journals aims to maintain the highest standards of ethical publishing practices and encourages all authors, editors, and reviewers to uphold these principles.
